I was part of this team from inception and helped to establish the key processes. My focus was on the Interpretation of regulations and guidelines to determine what was required of the business. I collated employee information to ensure Bupa was fully compliant with all aspects of Employment Compliance: right to work, sponsorship, nurse registration and student working hours. I wrote new processes using Visio, designed forms, logs and templates. The result was that a complex process was much easier to administer; queries and costs plummeted as a result of fewer failed applications. I liaised directly with Home Managers helping to educate them on the need for compliance and escalating any cases such as suspensions that needed to be managed.I set up and managed a new process to ensure nurses employed in Bupa met the Nursing & Midwifery registration. I collated over five thousand nurses registration details, developed a process for batch confirmation and set up monthly checks. These checks avoided risk for Bupa ensuring we had no nurses employed in Bupa who were un-registered or with restrictions on their work.I also ensured DBS requirements were met and issues were escalated when necessary.
