  I have successfully progressed through the ranks in the British Army’s Royal Regiment of Scotland since joining in 1991 gaining recognition for his hard work, commitment and dedication in his role. I was recruited as an Infantry Soldier bringing me knowledge and experience progressing through the ranks of Private, Lance Corporal, Corporal and Sergeant in the 4 Scots. Throughout my 23 year career, I have travelled and visited numerous worldwide locations in a training, deployment and hands-on function. Responsibilities have included the management of a fleet of armoured vehicles, carrying out the role of Ammunition Stores Accountant on the frontline in Afghanistan. Since gaining my promotion to Sergeant, I have fulfilled the role of Logistics Supply Inventory Manager in the Quarter Master Department at Aldergrove, Belfast. My role has involved running various supply accounts including IT equipment, clothing and ammunition covering numerous locations. I was responsible for managing a department of civilian staff for the daily function and operation of the stores. I maintained a high level of quality and accountability for official annual inspections and ad-hoc audits as well as Commanding Officers and Quarter Master’s ‘snap’ inspections. I was selected for deployment to Afghanistan due to my specific training and was solely responsible for all the ammunition and radioactive materials. I provided helicopters with ammunition as well as personnel, checking equipment in and out, providing reports and maintaining stock levels throughout the Ammunition Store. Throughout my 23 year career, I have carried out the role of Sergeant’s Mess Property Manager; President of the Entertainments Committee for Burns Night; Health and Safety Representative Officer at Sergeant’s Mess functions and Corporal’s Mess Manager.
