Gave on-line training and answered technical queries to customers trialling and purchasing the company’s application generator product, ‘Genesis V’. This required a deep understanding of the product and AS/400 operations and communications. The company had 200 active customers world wide, and there are on average one dozen queries each day.I installed the support software at the USA office and trained local staff in giving front line support. While in the USA I also visited a customer’s site to get feedback on how to improve customer support.Researched, developed and implemented interaction between AS/400 and PC network As the only person in the organisation with PC knowledge I organised the purchase of all the necessary equipment, enabling the AS/400 developers and the telemarketing staff to have access direct to the AS/400 and the internet. This included building a large server PC from component parts and configuring of an ISDN router.I was responsible for electronic communication with, and distribution to, worldwide clients. I advised the managing director on PC based products available for setting up web based tutorials, documentation, distribution and marketing. From 1998 I was responsible for co-ordinating design and content of the Genesis V website and performed 90% of the effort to create it.
