Scott worked for me at Kony for ~5 years and was one of my most highly valued employees. As a pre-sales engineer, he brings to the table a uniquely balanced combination of sales aptitude, hunger and drive along with the deep technical skills of his product and his customer's environments. He was known within our sales team as well as up the executive ranks all the way to the CEO as being a superstar performer. When that uniquely critical sales situation arose, Scott was the person that everyone looked to, in order to ensure that our very best foot would be put forward. He is one of those individuals who strives for excellence at every turn. He has a true depth and understanding of technology, which brings him the credibility in the midst of a technical sales campaign. He is able to relate to the individual developers, testers, QA teams etc, all the way up to the project leads and technical leadership, in a "been there / done that" manner which brings him a strong sense of credibility in a short amount of time. When Scott is interacting with executive management and business leaders, he fully "gets" the value propositions which his product offers and is able to articulate those points in a results / returns oriented manner appropriate for senior management and business leaders. Top that off with a strong competitive sense, focus and "do whatever it takes" dedication - and it becomes clear why he is always a top rated employee. I would welcome him on any of my teams in the future!
Gary Lundberg
At the risk of sounding cliche, Scott "gets it." Scott is someone who understands the overarching business strategies and objectives, and possesses the technical know-how to build a path to get there. Scott balances a keen technical mind with a savvy business sense to not only plot the course, but indeed, determine which direction to go. I really appreciated his intellect, candor, and "no BS, pull no punches" attitude. Scott would be highly valued in any organization that values productivity and performance over politics and posturing.
