Everyone who needs a computer should have one, and no one should be left behind. Device ownership is the heart of digital equity, and yet 36 million people in the United States don't have a computer at home. Tens of millions of additional households don't have enough computers to allow for concurrent use by multiple family members. This deep and persistent technology gap locks those affected out of education, employment, finance, telehealth, and community. It's not right, and it needs an urgent response. Digitunity is working to eliminate the technology gap at scale. Learn more at www.digitunity.org.

Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Jul 2017 - May 2019
Rapid Insight is the software company behind Veera, the easy and affordable analytics platform. Veera enables organizations to decentralize analytics and build truly data-driven cultures. Veera enables exploration, drives curiosity, and makes critical business insights accessible to more people than ever before.Veera simplifies the process of connecting to data sources, cleansing and preparing data, performing on-demand or scheduled analyses, building predictive models, sharing reports and empowering employees across the enterprise with the ability to investigate data and make data-driven decisions. I worked hard to instill a growth mindset across the Rapid Insight team, reorganized and rebranded the product line, deployed a new CRM and marketing automation platform, and provided steady leadership when the team needed it most.

New Market Development
-
Jan 2015 - Apr 2016
In early 2015, I was presented with a unique opportunity to get involved with an early-stage technology startup called Adored, first as a contractor and ultimately one of the company's earliest employees. I led the company's New Market Development efforts, establishing the Adored mobile app in new communities and new verticals. I was the lead relationship builder for Adored, growing partnerships with businesses, downtown districts, chambers of commerce, associations and attractions. The Adored mobile app began as a loyalty app for consumers to earn rewards at their favorite bars, restaurants and coffee shops through iBeacon technology. Subsequent iterations of the app featured robust on-site experiences at resorts, hotels and attractions, and daily chalkboard specials at nearby restaurants. My time at Adored ended as the product evolved to become 100% self-service, therefore negating the need for personnel dedicated to relationship-building. While short-lived, the startup experience was exciting, rewarding and really informative. I came away with incredible experiences, new skills and huge respect for the brave, passionate people who create and build new things from scratch.

May 2006 - Dec 2014
I served as Mount Washington Observatory's Executive Director for 8+ years, leading the organization through a period of transformational growth and success. As E.D., I was accountable to the Board of Trustees, and responsible for leading and managing the organization, both internally and externally. Internally, I managed all staff, volunteers and programs, oversaw financial affairs and facilitated the work of the Trustees. Externally, I served as the public face of the organization, its chief spokesperson, fundraiser, marketer, strategist and advocate. In this challenging and fulfilling job, I successfully led this very complex, highly visible organization with a multi-faceted mission, two museums, a remote mountaintop weather station, active education and research programs, three distinct facilities and thirty employees. Key accomplishments include: -- Consistent annual growth of operating revenue and endowment -- Completion of $1 million capital campaign to fully renovate New Hampshire’s most visited museum, creating the all-new Extreme Mount Washington summit museum in 2014 -- Renegotiated mountaintop lease with NH’s Department of Resources and Economic Development; created an innovative public-private partnership to ensure wins for MWO, the State of NH, and the mountain’s for-profit tourist attractions -- Created an innovative climate research partnership with Plymouth State University, established a jointly-appointed faculty/research position -- Presented dozens of programs, sessions and keynotes at events held by organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund and New England Museum Association -- Smart, strategic board recruitment, broadened overall skill set and geographic reach -- Modernized employment policies, payroll, benefits administration, work environment
