● Duties included equipment specification, design, installation, qualification, and troubleshoot of capital R&D equipment. ● Design and specifications of mechanical, industrial automation, and electro-mechanical systems: Including but not limited to, CAD modeling, PLC programming, HMI layouts, panel layouts and build, equipment and/or component calibration. Experience designing machinery to be used in an ISO class 7 cleanroom. ● Continuous improvement: providing technical leadership to technicians and fellow engineers and working closely with manufacturing and operations to resolve problems. Identifying inefficiencies in machinery or process and recommend changes ● Support failure investigation in developing cause and corrective action for manufacturing and systems integration and test failures ● Sole engineer for full documentation of new custom equipment (engineering drawings, P&ID, electrical schematics) ● Led efforts to launch maintenance programs for new equipment. Accomplishments ● Participated as one of the lead contributors on the documentation, installation, start-up and validation of Repligen’s flagship mPES Hollow Fiber Casting Machine. Responsible for creating servicing plans, spare parts documentation and installation qualifications for casting machine. ● Technical and project lead of two vertical centrifuges which tripled current potting process capacity. This was a full custom in-house built equipment using off the shelf components and custom designed components, integrated together to create final product.
