Investigated the effects of ocean acidification and warming on phytoplankton physiology (incubation experiments with coccolithophores) and natural phytoplankton communities (mesocosm experiments). Developed skills and knowledge in CO2 manipulation methods (i.e. acid/base, bubbling and enriched CO2 water), calculation, sampling and analysis of carbonate chemistry and biogeochemical parameters. Represented research group during international mesocosm experiments providing expertise in CO2 manipulations and marine biogeochemistry (Bergen, Norway 2011, Crete, Greece 2011, Sete, France 2012).
