As a full time faculty member I was responsible for teaching classes in composition and critical thinking, early and modern world literature, and modern American literature. I served as the interim Chair of the department and was responsible for budgeting and personnel issues for approximately 50 faculty members at campuses across the state. I served on numerous committees, including text book review and selection, instructor review and selection, curriculum, and athletic oversight.
