It was a great pleasure to work with Sayantan when he was a Credit Analyst in our team at ICICI Bank. Sayantan had joined the department straight out of business school, and one could sense that from the outset he was very curious and inquisitive, with a very good analytical mindset and an even greater level of motivation to learn new things about finance and economics. He was instrumental in creating a collaborative spirit in the team and was very well organized. Sayantan had one of the more difficult portfolios with many high-risk counterparties, but he managed it very well despite the lack of experience. His communication skills are outstanding, along with sound technical skills in multiple software like MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. He has an enormously positive attitude but is also critical at the same time. I would recommend him and am sure he will have a successful career in the financial services sector as he is a great team player and extremely capable in credit risk, financial analysis and trade finance.
