I currently work at Marvesa Oils and Fats where I am a Logistics employee. This means that I process and confirm the orders made by clients, so transport can be arranged. The clients are located inside and outside of the EU. My regular clients are from Germany, Spain, Poland, Serbia, Belarus, Denmark and Norway. I am familiar with the different customs processes that go with some orders. Furthermore, several of our clients want specific blends, which I create for them. At Hotel De Vassy I worked as a Housekeeping and FB employee. Even though this is completely different than I was used to (office work), it was a very nice change to work with my hands and to see clients every day in person instead of only talking to them by phone or email.

This means I had daily customer contact by phone and by email, I created offers based on the wishes of the client, and I made the calculations for these offers. MiCuba is a tour operator that sells tailor-made trips to Cuba. Not only is there a lot of customer contact (either through email or telephone), but we are also in close contact with our Cuban colleagues and other tour operators. The languages that are spoken in the office change from Dutch to Spanish to English in a second. This is an important feature of the multi-cultural team of MiCuba. Not one day is the same at this tour operator, as in my position there is a lot of variety. One… MiCuba is a tour operator that sells tailor-made trips to Cuba. Not only is there a lot of customer contact (either through email or telephone), but we are also in close contact with our Cuban colleagues and other tour operators. This daily diversity has made me aware of and skilled in all the different tasks that play a role in the everyday operations of a tour operator.
