In this model, one enters the location coordinates (latitude and longitude) manually or allows the app to use the current location, and consequently, the model will show the land type in that location for different years to see how it has changed and if there has ever been a salt crust. Obtained the data from Dr. Pinki Mondal who retrieved the Raster files from NASA. The raster files were classified into eight values: Forest, Marsh, Saltwater Intrusion, Built, Open Water, Crop Fields, Bare Soil Areas, Open Field. The model has demonstrated that it is possible to use this type of model and apply it to a required geologic area to map soil salinity, study its trend & understand root causes to develop sustainable solutions and increase farm productivity.
