Satya was my team leader for close to 3.5 years when I started my career, after finishing my study at IIT Bombay, in R&D team of Hilti Manufacturing India until I moved to Hilti HQs. Despite being newbie to the corporate world and to his team, he gave me opportunities to lead two of the most important projects of the department. One of the two projects mentioned won the Martin Hilti Innovation Prize 2022, the most prestigious award in Hilti Group. Satya’s astute leadership in assessing team members’ capabilities and interests, his effort to develop new team members by providing great opportunities and challenging assignments, freedom he provided to run projects like an entrepreneur, and promoting candid conversations were priceless and very valuable to excel in the projects I lead in his team at Hilti Manufacturing India.

Satya was the CTO and part of my management team at HMI. I only have the highest praise for Satya as a person and a professional. During our time together, Satya transformed the R&D organisation completely, hiring great people and building a pipeline, establishing strong external research partnerships, building a world-class facility, and integrating the local team with the global organisation at all levels.
