Throughout the internship, I gained hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of various essential concepts and tools in the Azure ecosystem. I honed my skills in working with Virtual Machines, which are the building blocks of cloud infrastructure, enabling the provisioning and management of computing resources in the cloud. Additionally, I became proficient in setting up and configuring Virtual Networks, learning about different types of peerings within virtual networks that facilitate seamless communication between resources in Azure. The program also covered Site-to-Site Connection, an essential aspect of securely linking an on-premises network to an Azure virtual network, enabling bidirectional data flow. I further explored the Virtual Network Gateway, a critical component for establishing secure connections between on-premises networks and Azure virtual networks. The internship introduced me to the architectural pattern of Hub-Spoke Architecture, which optimizes network connectivity and simplifies management in complex cloud environments. Routing, an integral part of networking, was another key learning area, allowing me to efficiently manage the flow of data between various network resources. Lastly, I gained valuable insights into configuring Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) inside a Virtual Machine, a crucial feature for providing secure remote access to resources.
