I Am the Music Attorney for A.R Rahman and Gopisundar I interacted with the Middlesex University in the U.K to ensure that Rahman's music school - KMMC got validation. Have concluded a dozen celebrity endorsement contracts for Rahman and over fifty music production related contracts for his music and recordings.Have my own forensic studio for conducting, clinching evidence and providing expert evidence on IP infringements and cyber crimes.I am an independent law professional with thirty plus years standing in the Bar. Prior to being a lawyer I was a Trade Specialist for the U.S Department of Commerce in its offices in Mumbai for Five years where I have assisted the Commercial Attache in promoting U.S trade and investment into India, Prior to that I was Assistant Secretary at the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry. When I started my own legal practice in Kerala thirty plus years ago I had already handled a wide variety of litigation in corporate laws, I have represented government entities, public sector banks, large foreign business entities, large Indian companies. As Standing Counsel for SEBI right from its inception in 1992. I represent them in meeting legal challenges as a regulator and appeared for SEBI and got dismissed over a 100 cases and never lost even one case. I am the standing counsel for the Kerala State IT Mission which has been instrumental in creating the backbone and infrastructure for the IT sector in Kerala, I created the legal framework for KSITM to bring about ICT related opportunities for the citizens of this state. Honorary President to the Cochin Chamber of Commerce & Industry 2008-2009. This is one of the oldest chamber of commerce in South India. Located within the Port of Kochi, I was instrumental in facilitating a larger role for this chamber of commerce in the context of corporate social responsibility. The Chamber set up a parking yard to park trailers that enter and leave the port area. The Chamber also got into a project for converting waste into energy through a joint venture with a U.S technology provider, The project was inaugurated by the Former President of India - Shri A.P.J Abdul Kalam. I also provided leadership to chamber members in voicing their views on the Union Budget and Finance Bill during my tenure. I was instrumental in addressing and voicing problem areas in the implementation of the State Value Added Tax and provided to large MNC's who had logistical issues in the implementation of VAT in Kerala. I was invited to participate in the Salzburg Seminar for two consecutive years in their sessions on WTO and multilateral trade negotiations. Sessions dealt with Trade Law and Regionalism with emphasis on WTO multilateral negotiations The very same year I was invited to take part in the World Bank Institute in their workshop on "Regionalism in Multi-lateral trade negotiations". I actively contribute to the World Bank Doing Business Team each year on all their subjects. I was invited to participate in the Salzburg Seminar for two consecutive years in their sessions on WTO and multilateral trade negotiations. I was actively promoting U.S investment and trade into India. It involved liaising with U.S business entities about Indian regulations and also linking them with Indian entities. As a catalyst I brought together innumerable joint ventures between India and the U.S. I .have got letters of appreciation and recognition for my exemplary contributions to Indo U.S business and trade. I was instrumental in putting together an excellent resource centre for U.S commercial information and trade and business references. I was the first point of contact & correspondent for any Indian or U.S inquiry on commerce and trade for the entire consular district of Western India that included Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa and Maharashtra.
