A biological research station, investigating overall general biodiversity with a focus on jaguars, monkeys, sea turtles and canal birds.• Designed and implemented a project to monitor and evaluate Black Handed Spider Monkeys as well as other important monkey species for the governmental Ministry for Environment of Costa Rica. • Co-leader of the Jaguar project leading and designing field research to monitor predation on sea turtles in conjunction with the big cat organization Panthera.• Led groups monitoring breeding sea turtles, tagging over a hundred turtles. In conjunction with the Sea Turtle Conservancy. • Led surveys on canal birds monitoring rare species as well as migrant and resident patterns.• Proficient in surveying and identifying all local reptiles and amphibians.

Biological Research Monitoring Road Effects in a Private Reserve in Ecuador:

A four taxa study to monitor the effect of a developing road through a rainforest reserve in the Ecuadorian Amazon. • Monitored and collected camera traps on trails to establish mammal populations• Mist netting and banding multiple bird species to monitor abundance, breeding and habitat within the forest reserve. • Navigation off trail to establish and survey line transects to monitor abundance and diversity of amphibians and reptiles. • Canopy trapping and identification of butterfly species to establish diversity and distribution.
