At geoformer igp AG, I work in several topics and have different roles:I am the head of the Glacier and Permafrost group, where I manage projects related to these natural hazards and supervise a team for the monitoring.I am a research and development engineer for all groups in the company. There I test and apply new technologies and methods to improve the quality of our products or increase internal work performance. The purpose of my thesis was to define the potential of UAV (drone) photogrammetry on alpine glaciers. A component of my work was to conduct repeated field campaigns on Swiss glaciers and to assess the accuracy of this method on snow and ice surfaces. This PhD gave me the opportunity to develop my scientific skills and analytical thinking within a national and international framework. I also had the chance to mentor master students, and to develop strong coordination skills through the organization of field campaigns, meetings and conferences.
