  CoeusCoeus is an Application with 2 access ends with it. One is a desktop application and another is a web application. Desktop application is built with swing and all possible application requests, processes are possible from this end. Whereas the web application is built with Struts 2 Frameworkand clients can access it, provided only to limited properties. This is an application for students whodo their PHD and thus allows registering online on their requirements and requests on permissions to permit/deny/approve/disapprove their proposals. There are several modules like proposal, protocol, Awards and so on.Kuali CoeusThe above mentioned application - Coeus is taken over by the organization “Kuali” and is overlayed as a Maven project. “The Kuali Rice foundation” has “Rice” as its base project whichcontains the Jars of Coeus-the above one. This project removes the Desktop application and enables to perform all requests and approvals through the web itself. This is an upgraded version built with spring and Hibernate.Kuali Coes for MIT, Sidra, Tufts and FIBISidra, MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Sidra, Tufts and FIBI are some of themajor research universities in USA that uses Kuali Coes. There is a customization of Kuali Coes based on the requirements of every universities and that’s all our job is. We customize the existing Kuali Coeus Overlayed Project, and create an overlay project for each of these universities based on their need. We build as well as maintain the same. It’s again a maven overlay project built with spring-hibernate and standard library of “Kuali Rice”. Enhancements are required from time to time in all the above projects, because even when the advanced arrives, people who are familiar to the old ones still want the same. Hence we still handle all these projects and the most recent one is what we focus on development and others are just maintenance with Jiras’ and issues. Show less
