I am currently working PRN shifts, which consists of 8 hour overnight shifts (11pm-7am) and 12 hour weekend shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am). I also work day shifts (7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm) throughout the week. I supervise CNA’s and work hand in hand with my fellow Nurses. I complete the daily role of a full time LVN/LPN. I follow physicians orders, administer medications, I also perform Accu-check/Insulin Administration, complete Head-To-Toe Assessments, Braden Scale Assessments, Wound Care, and admit new patients, all in compliance with DADs, Medicare, VA, etc. My Nurse-to-Patient Ratio is usually anywhere from 27-30 patients a shift, which consists of both Medicare and Private-Pay Residents.
