  Officially titled 'Work Areas Assistant' - primarily working in L'Arche's Day Services but providing personal support to PWLD in L'Arche homes as well. Supported PWLD to learn new skills; build upon existing skills; discover talents; develop a professional / working life; develop and maintain links with the local community. Demanded high skills in areas listed as products were sold in our shop and at local fairs and shops. Responsible for designing, facilitating, leading, and developing workshops for PWLD including: -Candle making -Jewellery making -Card making -Fine Arts -Music -Drama -Gardening I worked with our Music group to develop performance material which we showcased at local music festivals in West Sussex to great acclaim; and developed a partnership with a local church event for PWLD so our music group could participate and take a leading role in the event. I also developed a link with a local music academy for our Music group to record an EP to raise funds for L'Arche and the academy. Show less
