The facility is designed to manufacture large tiresfor earth mining equipment; the project challenges involve designing a complex of 12 industrialbuildings that house functions of assembling and curing tires. The most complex building was thecuring shop which has 4 underground levels and 5 over ground levels with heavy cranes to liftequipment weighing 160 tons. The project team comprised of professionals from France, Indiaand Singapore.Design Manager for 8000 sqm of test labs and design offices for Dana Corporation at Pune,DANA is a leading automotive parts supplier and a fortune 500 company. The project challengesinvolved understanding complex local by-laws requirements and designing utilities for a facilitythat did not have any existing infrastructure like water supply or sewage treatment plant. Thedesign team for the DANA project involved personnel from MW India and US.
