Bluewater District School Board currently has approximately 17,000 students in 41 elementary schools and nine secondary schools and serves an area 8,673 square kilometres in size and is defined by the borders of Bruce and Grey Counties. Bluewater students and staff continue to be recognized at the provincial and national levels in the arts, science, athletics, language, the environment and the skilled trades. Our graduation rates continue to increase and 90% of primary classes have 20 or fewer students. French Immersion is offered in 11 elementary schools (two are French only) while six secondary schools offer enhanced French programming. Two schools offer Ojibway as a second language. An integral partner with the communities it serves, Bluewater District School Board actively promotes the use of its schools for recreation, health and wellness, summer school programs, and other activities.
