MEMCO began its operations on a low key with just a few workers in the year 1977. The aim was not to quantify the number of machines produced but to ensure quality welding equipment with zero defect. MEMCO developed power sources that were particularly suited for Indian working conditions such as varying input voltage, dusty and hot atmosphere, humid, monsoon weather, harsh terrain etc. Mr. M. Ismail, the Founder-Chairman and Managing Director, fulfilled his dreams by developing and manufacturning all-weather, hazard and trouble-free welding power sources. Today, MEMCO products are used by a wide cross-section of Indian industries, especially the heavy engineering industry.
