As Senior Health Specialist at the World Bank I was responsible for working with Governments (Ministries of Finance and Health) on World Bank policy and advisory services and projects. The projects I worked on mainly focused on health financing: looking at ways in which Governments could mobilize more resources for health, pool these resources in the most effective way to drive equitable access, and the design of strategic purchasing arrangements with health care providers to drive better outcomes for the population and the health system. I was involved in multiple analytical work at the Bank including public expenditure review, health systems performance reviews and country evaluations. Strong focus on results-based financing and working with other bilateral donors and partners to drive pooled financing at the country level for health systems strengthening.
