Marni Brewster
It is a privilege to call Sarah my mentor. She has taught me so much about listening and understanding clients, and how to translate that into UX and UI that are people-centered. I am always excited to see what she is up to next! Sarah brought me on as a Front End intern at Shomeya in 2016. She onboarded me to Shomeya's production suite and taught me SASS. I learned how to quickly create style boards for clients. Working with Sarah on this taught me the importance of listening to clients, doing the work they are asking, and offering a few similar options. Sarah stressed the importance of listening to clients, and iterating through each stage, to make sure they are happy and satisfied with the work. She provided tremendous insight into the tech industry, and working with client teams. Later I worked under Sarah doing sound recording on her video production team. Having a background in television production, Sarah again brought her personal insight to every shoot. She was excellent at helping clients stay focused and loose. She worked with them to create videos that matched their personal branding, both through visuals and editing. It was a pleasure to work under her and see her in action!
