I have ten years of Graphic Design production in the grocery industry with extensive creative content/ad/pos design experience. Excellent organizational skills and problem solving abilities in a fast-paced, high-pressure atmosphere. I manage the quality, effectiveness and waste of POS materials distributed to the stores. I collaborate with merchandisers and vendors to create new promotions and or POS materials throughout the year. I strategize with senior and mid-level management for continual improvement of their departments or the company as a whole. I direct and manage the social media coordinator to ensure that we are connecting with our customers as well as measuring our successes. I also assist in the development of press releases in collaboration with our director of community relations. I am involved with all areas of the retail business to continuously come up with strategies to drive sales and improve cosmetic appeal of our brand, our stores or the products to which we promote. I compose weekly television and radio creative copy. I plan, execute and now chair (2014) the annual charity golf outing, which serves as an event for our vendor community to help raise money for 4 local charities. I manage two direct reports and report to the President.

Rapid career advancement encompassing nearly ten years of service that included working at the retail grocery level, from bagging, cashiering, stocking to working at the service desk. They all played a vital role in gaining hands-on customer service experience. Promoted to the corporate office in January 2000, I took on coordinating accounts payable for the 10 locations and warehouse. I additionally was cross-trained in all areas of accounting and assisted in period and fiscal closings, general entries, deposits and bank reconciliations. I also documented new procedures for Accounts Payable on the converted software. I researched interdepartmental queries and provided results to merchandisers, accounting, stores and vendors. I made a lateral move to the I.T. department in February 2004 and gained valuable knowledge in working with our POS system and other systems. My job was to maintain pricing integrity including ad sales, temporary price reductions and new merchandise. I provided assistance with pricing problems for merchandisers and stores. All of these intricate jobs played a key role in building a solid foundation for my future career with Remke Markets as Director of Advertising, Social Media and other Marketing and Public Relation jobs.
