  Designation is a 24-week intensive program that trains UX designers through iterative skill development and real world client projects. While there, I developed my UX research and design abilities by conducting user interviews, wireframing, prototyping, administering usability tests, and working with clients. The two client projects I worked on were: Spotivity is an existing mobile app and online service that helps teenagers find after school activities. My team redesigned the mobile app to improve user engagement. Through user interviews we identified disengagement points, then prototyped a new onboarding flow and search features, ran user tests, and proposed a restructuring of the app’s core functions and future development plans. Stride 360 is an at-home workout machine that combines the functionality of a stationary bike and an elliptical, for which my team was challenged to develop a companion app. We interviewed users to identify key needs, then concepted, wireframed, prototyped, and tested several possible solutions. Our resultant design was a mobile app that would pair users with trainer generated workouts or custom built exercises based on their preferences and limitations. Show less
