SUBJECT: Cinnamaldehyde used as an anti-microbial in cellulose-based dental appliance material. Summer job done in collaboration with dentists in R&D. The goal of this job was to study different "mouth bacteria" that could grow on these coatings applied on the plastic of dental appliances. The goal was also to find out at which concentration these coatings are the most efficient against the studied bacteria: Streptococcus mitis, Streptococcus mutans, Staphylococcus epidermidis. This work led to the writing of a scientific article of which I am the main author. Show less
