I was able to be the teacher for a Fourth Grade English Language Arts classroom. I worked with one co-op for 16 weeks. I was able to work with a diverse group of students such as, ELL students and Emotional support students. I worked with about 60 students. I would not trade the experience for anything in the world. Jun 2017 - Aug 2017
The Tutor-Mentor serves as a motivator. The Tutor-Mentor (TM) position is one of the most important jobs at Upward Bound. They live in the residence hall during our six-week program and assist all students in various aspects of the program including acting as a tutor, advisor, and chaperon for social events and field trips. TMs help the students learn how to be successful in college. TMs communicate commitment, respect for others, trustworthy, healthy risk-taking, and a strong sense of community. Show less
