I produced annual suspended sediment load estimates for Francis Creek in Ferndale, California as part of the Salt River Ecosystem Restoration Project. I received and processed raw turbidity threshold sampling (TTS) data, as well as lab results of the samples collected. Estimates were calculated using sediment loadprocedures developed at Redwood Sciences Labs in Arcata, California. I completed two terms as an AmeriCorps WSP member. My first placement was at the California Department of Fish and Game office in Fortuna, California. I conducted stream habitat typing, helped with salmonid sampling, and participated in public education and outreach events for the public and at local schools. My second placement was at Redwood Sciences Labs in Arcata, California. I contributed to calculating suspended sediment estimates for the Jackson Demonstration Forest in Fort Bragg, California.
