HR Technician

Apr 2022 - Present
As an HR Technician, I performed the repetitive task of scanning confidential documents of employees of The Arc Westchester into a digital format in my supervisor's computer so that the files can be available on there. It was a new way of digitalitizing information from paper to computer. I also gained a new resposibility of making copies of the back of all documents so that the scanner doesn't get stuck, as double sided documents would be unable to be transfered into the computer. Medical Biller (Assistant)

Sep 2020 - Dec 2020
After searching on Craigslist and finding this position, I applied, and had a Zoom Interview with the CEO of the company, Marty Bradt and was hired. For this job title, I basically acted as an assistant for the CEO of the company in a small quiet office. I performed any task that she needed done in the vicinity of the workplace; my main responsibilities included taking out trash, maintaining a clean work environment, assisting her with filing confidential documents in the right place in drawers, helping her imput claims into a database on her computer by reciting the claim codes to her verbally, as well as shredding confidential health documents. Fulfillment Specialist

Jul 2018 - Dec 2018
For my first job, I was brought to this role as an intern from Project SEARCH, along with several other interns. I did a presentation about how I am as a worker and what skills I learned in my rotations. I was then hired. I was trained to work downstairs as a Fulfillment Specialist, sorting lenses that came in boxes so that workers can find them more easily. I found a great location to work and had my own cubicle in the office part of the job site. I sorted the lenses by power and numerical order. After 4 and a half months, I was brought to other job tasks. I was trained by one of the employees upstairs and in the distribution center to pick lenses. I learned how to scan bar codes on tote boxes as well as set them up by putting them on racks. Show less

Project SEARCH Intern

Sep 2017 - Jun 2018
I have worked as an intern for the first time at this location. I was part of a program known as Project SEARCH Autism Enhancement. It is a job training program that gives young adults with autism spectrum disorder work experience to prepare for employment. I have worked in three job rotations. 1. Evaluation Center/Medical Library/Nursing Education The Evaluation Center in NYPD evaluates patients that have psychiatric disorders. I worked on a computer to do data entry. I entered data from a spreadsheet onto the computer. Some of the info included times the patients entered and left the hospital and what hospital they came from. In the Medical Library, I assisted with organizing books and throwing old books out that weren't relevant anymore. I entered data into a spreadsheet that had a list of books that were available at the library. I also copied pages from books to send to corresponding libraries using the copying machine. In Nursing Education, I assisted my supervisor with writing calendar dates onto a calendar; as well as stapling papers. Six North In Six North, I assisted the Patient Care Director with sorting a huge stack of papers that she had never gotten the time to do by date and finished. I also helped with conducting computer research on patient falls in the hospital. I found many helpful articles on the subject and printed them out to hand to the staff at the hospital. Pharmacy Most of this rotation included checking expiration dates on all of the medication and tossing out any medication that was or is about to expire and placing month stickers on the medication that was to expire the next month. I also helped the Pharmacy manager with organizing invoices and typing out invoice information on the computer. I also took an online test to use the omnicell machine and passed. I went to inpatient units to help pharmacy technicians restock the omnicell machines. Show less
