Worked with Dr. Ruchi Gupta and the CFAAR (Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research) Team to create education resources for the early childhood population. In August 2020 we released three (3) Food Allergy Education videos for the early childhood population. Each video targets a distinct audience: EC Professionals (Teachers/Staff), Parents of children under age 6, and Children under age 6. The videos are informed by data gathered from a mixed method approach consisting of surveys, interviews, and focus groups and was published in January 2020 in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology titled, "Understanding food allergy needs in early childhood schools." The videos are easily accessible on the CFAAR and the national Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) websites in English and Spanish. Show less

My involvement with the Collaboration for Early Childhood in Oak Park spans 16 years. I draw from a wide range of experiences and skills and can quickly adapt to the EC population (young children, parents and families, EC and school district professionals) depending on the project. Projects include leading workshops on a wide array of topics, coordinating intake inquiries for publicly funded preschools serving children in Oak Park and River Forest and leading the Kindergarten Readiness Testing (KRT) across these same sites as a screener, organizer, and the point of contact on behalf of the Collaboration. Other projects entailed observing, participating, coaching/mentoring and supporting staff at multiple center-based and home-based Early Childhood programs in Oak Park and River Forest as well as recruiting and coordinating participants for the Equity Training Series for Early Childhood Professionals.
