  Working within a fast paced industry for a company who has been awarded best in class for Global Aerospace Logistics. My role includes; Arranging AOG shipments from start to finish, obtaining information from the customer about their shipping requirements including deadlines, incoterms. Finding the best routing options available for them to ensure deadlines will be met, liaising with agents to ensure they are aware of a shipment arriving and have the information they need to deliver it on time. Booking with the airline, cutting HAWB’s, MAWB’s, custom entries including IPR, end use and licence entries. Arranging transport for shipments being delivered into the airlines, collections from airlines, delivering to door and direct drives all across Europe. We are also a 24/7 control tower to many customers so I need to liaise with agents and other offices out of hours across the world to ensure customers shipments are handled effectively and no time is wasted as an AOG situation has no time to spare. Also Dispatching orders for customers who hold stock in our warehouse, ensuring only correct documentation is sent forward with part. Providing quotes to customers for both import AOG’s and export AOG’s. Also quoting and arranging hand carries including booking all tickets, hotels etc for the OBC.   Arranging time sensitive exports via airfreight for various types of pharmaceuticals including life saving drugs and pharmaceuticals that had to be kept at specific temperatures. This was done using softboxes, envirotainers, etc. Many of these pharmaceuticals were also hazardous or radioactive. Jobs would be arranged from start to finish initially speaking with the customer to establish their requirements, finding an airline who could offer the temperature control service we needed, could meet the deadline and had the most competitive rates (this required negotiation skills). All documents would then be completed (MAWB, HAWB, Customs entry, etc) then splitting down the documents and getting the shipment into the airline on time.
