  Adviser for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) implemented Pacific Risk Resilience programme (PRRP). The programme is focused on strengthening governance mechanisms for Disaster Risk Management (DRM) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) at the national, provincial and community levels in Fiji,Vanuatu, Tonga and Solomon Islands.   Sarah worked with the Ministry of Development Planning and Aid Coordination to help mainstream disaster, climate change and environmental risk into development planning in the Solomon Islands.   The current focus of Sarah's freelance work is mainstreaming climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction with traditional development to build resilience at the national and local levels. She has also carried out a number of environmental and climate change assessments at the project/intervention level and has helped prepare training on the economic of adaptation. Sarah currently provides consultancy advice for inter alia: Practical Action Consulting; the Department for International Development (DFID); the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Task Force on Climate change; the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Climate Centre (IFRC); the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs; the UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR); and the World Bank (WB).
