I was fortunate enough to work with Sarah Scali and report to her directly for 1.5 years at Columbia College. My experience working with Sarah was nothing but positive and I hope to have a chance to work together in the future. As a manager and leader, Sarah was always incredibly encouraging, understanding, and empowering to me and others. It was obvious that whenever making decisions, she always has the students' best interests in mind and at heart. She is a true educator. Her dedication to the community of international students we worked with was clear, as no matter how busy, she would always find time to help them with and talk them through whatever issue they were having, be it family concerns, academics, or college applications. In addition, what is truly wonderful about Sarah is her commitment to community building. Whether it is our student body or the larger community of the world, she is always the one to inspire people and lead by example to connect with each other, volunteer their time, and take care of one another. That was evident because of Sarah's involvement in student life and various charitable committees at the College as well as during her time off. I feel very lucky to have worked with and been a subordinate of Sarah's and would be happy to provide any further recommendation.
