As a merge team member I was responsible for creating best practices for maintaining GitHub Secrets, overseeing the creation of decision records, assisting in handing off issues from product to developers by fleshing the issues out with further instructions for developer clarity, and assisted in workflow decisions to help keep local Docker images up-to-date. As a merge team member I lead standups, onboard developers and other merge team members, reviewed/tested their pull requests. The pull request queue dropped from an average of 15 pull requests to six. I walk new developers through setting up their environment, resolving merge requests, guiding them to sources they need to solve problems and assisting them with any other issues that may arise when they attempt to create a successful pull request. I respond to requests for help on Slack and GitHub as well as answering questions during the weekly standup and office hours. Show less
