Sarah is a diligent, dedicated and hard working marketing professional whose easy going manner and calm nature make her a dream to work with in pressured, fast paced environments. Her self-confidence, warm personality and approachable style enables her to engage with people at all organisation levels. She has a wide range of capabilities and experience that means she efficiently manages projects and quite easily completes all aspects herself. She is a great team player, read to support her colleagues and most of all, fun- I miss working with her.

Sarah was instrumental in getting Sidcotians off the ground, so that the school could easily communicate with its alumni. She demonstrated a cheerful competence at everything she did while at Sidcot.

Responsible for setting up the Development Office and establishing an effective fundraising and engagement strategy to cultivate and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with existing and potential supporters including alumni, parents, friends of the school and the local business community. This led to increased support for the school through individual donations, regular giving and legacies, and through the creation of an active pool of volunteers. I was responsible for all aspects of the donor journey from prospect research to ongoing stewardship, as well as making successful funding applications to charitable trusts and foundations. Responsibilities also included volunteer management and event organisation, from large gala dinners to sports matches, networking events, small supporter gatherings and individual tours. My role centred around building relationships with people, and in addition to the Rydal Penrhos alumni community, I was heavily involved with the parents' association, and set up the Rydal Penrhos Business Club in order to engage with the business community and maximise corporate partnership opportunities. This position also enabled me to utilise my extensive marketing skills in both digital and print form, including engaging use of social media, web content, copy writing and the design and distribution of magazines, newsletters and campaign literature. During my time at Rydal Penrhos I led campaigns that were nominated and shortlisted for the following: IDPE Schools' Engagement Campaign of the Year 2018 (finalist) IDPE Schools' Fundraising Campaign of the Year 2019 (finalist) IDPE Community Champion (finalist) Show less

This was a new position at Sidcot, where I was responsible for setting up the Development office, including improving the relationship between the school and the alumni association as well as strengthening links with all those in the wider Sidcot community. I was responsible for creating the development strategy, maintaining the alumni and supporter database and establishing regular communications with former students through regular direct communications and social networking. I was responsible for the management of a campaign for a £4m Arts Centre which included donor stewardship, campaign updates, creating income reports and claiming gift aid. I was also responsible for the design and production of all campaign literature and communications including both printed and digital marketing and stewardship material. In addition, my responsibilities included all design work for both internal and external school publications and promotional material, the writing and distribution of press releases, website maintenance and the design and placement of advertising in appropriate consumer and industry publications. • Marketing and PR Co-ordinator
      • Apr 2006 - Sep 2009

Responsible for the complete marketing function within the business. This included organising and designing print advertising, promotional literature, and event posters. Duties also included the maintenance of the company websites, management of an online customer database and distribution of a monthly newsletter, as well as organising profile raising events and establishing links with the local community. In addition, I was responsible for promoting events and staff achievements through releases to the local press, and featured on the local radio several times. I implemented the monitoring of customer feedback and produce monthly customer satisfaction reports. In early 2008 the company acquired the Sherston Inn, Wells, and I was then responsible for the re-branding of the establishment to bring it in line with the Riverside, as well as developing and co-ordinating a marketing strategy for both sites. The introduction of a Business Club introduced a B2B marketing element to the role. Show less
