Mesocosm Study Director with Cambridge Environmental Assessments. Experienced in the conduct and management of higher tier mesocosm studie. These studies have used novel techniques with over-spray and also dilution of pond water to mimic potential run-off scenarios. Some of the studies conducted included laboratory bioassays to assess the effects of target organisms to improve regulatory endpoints. Recent experience in conducting novel laboratory assays with a number of organisms for which sensitivity is relatively unknown and little testing has previously been done. Also experienced in the conduct of ECx recalculation reports in accordance with the recent EFSA Ecotoxicology peer review (2015) guidance. Able to evaluate previous mesocosm studies with reference to the MDD requirements outlined in the EFSA aquatic guidance (2013). Responsible for managing the local GLP procedures at the facility in order to ensure compliance is maintained. Previous experience gained working for a contract research organisation as a laboratory technician before working my way up to GLP Study Director for acute and chronic aquatic ecotoxicological studies on both freshwater and marine fish and invertebrates.
