Worked as a 7th Grade Social Studies educator for five years, focusing on US History from the Constitution to the 20th Century. Currently teaching US History focused on the 20th century to 8th graders. I am an educator who aligns grade level curriculum with state and national standards, including the Common Core Standards, the C3 standards, and the NH Social Studies Frameworks, all whilst meeting students individual educational needs. I focus on establishing and maintaining engaging and exciting instructional methods to enhance student learning and to challenge each learner based on their strengths. Students are also challenged to strengthen their weaknesses in order to help build confidence not only academically, but also personally. In addition, I’ve collaborated with peers (and with feedback from students) to create a twenty-first century curriculum that is authentic and meaningful, and encourages skills necessary for high school social studies learners.
