Here, I cultivated my interest in protein chemistry and proteomics by developing and characterizing activity based probes, assessing substrate specificity, and developing inhibitors for the disease relevant family of enzymes, PRMTs. My experience culminated in two first author publications, numerous poster presentations (including an award for best poster), a summer research fellowship, an award for Most Outstanding Researcher, and a Biochemistry Student of the Year award.
