    • Editorial coordinator - Scientific inventory of the Islamic collections of the MBA of Lyon
      • Sep 2021 - May 2022

The decorative arts department at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lyon has the particularity of including a section of Islamic art in its collection. The museum thus has one of the most remarkable collections of Islamic works in France, after the Louvre. This is estimated at around 1000 items, including the Fustat shards, which were brought to the museum in two separate lots (donations by Raymond Koechlin and Doctor Fouquet). These objects are essentially ceramics, metals, weapons, wood, a few glasses, two ivories, capitals, bindings and miniatures. Under the supervision of the curator of the decorative arts department, Mrs. Salima HELLAL, my missions consist in coordinating the authors contributing to the scientific cataogue of these objects. I am in charge of ensuring the smooth running of the different stages of the editing schedule in order to allow the publication of the catalog in time and helping the editors in the elaboration of the structure of the book (parts, chapters, ...). The world in museums: mapping African objects in French public collections https://digital.inha.fr/GoGoCarto/web/index.php/_profiler/def336?panel=mongodb The INHA has been commissioned by the French Ministry of Culture to compile an inventory, accompanied by a cartography, of the collections of sub-Saharan Africa held in French museums in 2019. This corpus, in the form of an online digital portal, aims to provide free access to the results of systematic research into the provenance of objects and to documentation. It will thus make it possible to learn about their history and their journey and, if necessary, to understand the requests for restitution. My mission is to provide support to the research team for the documentation of the Maghreb collections. Show less
