Bio
David Postar, MASM 👟
Imagine if you were at the helm of the emotional and physical well being of 100 aging and frail adults, many of whom upon admission are coping with grief, anxiety, depression, cognitive decline. Imagine if you are also at the helm of the performance of dozens of frontline caregivers who must exert 100% of their physical and mental capacity for mediocre wages. This is the reality for an Executive Director on a 24/7 basis. Working under Sarah’s leadership for two years I particularly admired how she did not come to work to get by for a paycheck, but she took pride and complete ownership in nurturing the spirits of our residents and team members as an essential priority. I can think of countless examples of how she resolved intricate conflicts among employees, families, and residents alike. Sarah has a keen sense of detecting mood or behavioral disturbances and is proactive in compassionately addressing mental health before problems escalate. Sarah’s warm hearted personality, unique professional expertise, and graduate level education position her to be an invaluable asset to any mental health organization.
