Throughout the course of my college career, I was fortunate enough to occupy the same classroom space as Sarah, and without a doubt, she exudes a passion and energy for knowledge and discussion that is frankly unrivaled. From structural/molecular biology to scientific communication to philosophy, she has an insatiable appetite to further the conversation and continue to push boundaries. The sheer amount of hours she will clock in pursuit of her craft is utterly admirable, and she is by far the hardest working person I know. Regardless of the endeavor, Sarah Kearns is sure to bring her trademark excitement, drive, and inquisitiveness to everything she does.

My goal with Knowledge Futures (KF) is to connect the ideas and platforms of individuals, organizations, and communities together in order to change publishing practices and create better dialogue within the (scholarly) publishing ecosystem. I help produce and collect content and conversations amongst researchers, technologists, policy makers, and artists to innovate sustainable digital infrastructure that supports open scholarship at large.
