Sarah is a determined leader of an intrepid band of educational explorers at London Connected Learning Centre. She has a calming influence on her team, who trust her judgement implicity and go above and beyond the call of duty for her. I've greatly enjoyed working with London CLC, not only because of the importance of work they do, but because of what a great team Sarah has pulled together. I can't recommend Sarah highly enough in terms of her tenacity, her thoughtful leadership, and her ability to work with people from all walks of life.

Sarah is a former primary school teacher who is director of London Connected Learning Centre, an award-winning organisation committed to helping schools harness the potential of digital technologies. The centre is part of Education Development Trust. Sarah leads powerful professional development for teachers, supports schools to improve assessment and is an ICT Mark Assessor. London Connected Learning Centre links learning at school and home fosters collaboration between teachers, students and schools, and works in partnership with businesses, community and cultural organisations. The centre supports children and young people in using technologies to create, experiment, design and explore. In March 2014 Sarah published Educational Blogs and their effects on children's writing, an Education Development Trust study co-authored with Myra Barrs. The key aim of this study was to explore the differences in pupils' writing on blogs compared to their other writing. The secondary aims were to investigate the potential for using blogging to develop pupils' writing skills and to identify good practice in blogging: the elements that supported (or hindered) effective use of blogging to further writing skills.
