I worked with Sarah for almost 5 years, during some of which she was my line manager. She is an experienced writer, highly creative, and particularly skilled at consumer-facing copy. She is efficient and timely when managing projects, and always strives for the best possible outcome. From a people management point of view, Sarah is one of the most approachable people I have worked with. She is incredibly diplomatic and compassionate, handling difficult conversations with professionalism and ease. She would be a valuable addition to any team.

It’s been such a positive experience working with Sarah over the past couple of years. She’s a confident, approachable and professional editorial manager with extensive experience of developing impactful copy solutions for products and marketing within the retail sector. Using her own creativity, writing and technical expertise, she has also coached, mentored and successfully delivered training to others. Knowledgeable, intuitive and a great communicator, she is skilled at leading a team and developing and empowering its members. Sarah is also a strong project manager - proactive, organised and results-driven. Whilst we’ve worked together she has effectively managed a wide variety of editorial projects, implemented processes and developed strategies. For these reasons and more, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Working as part of the Complaints Team in partnership with the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) I was able to provide a friendly and professional frontline responsive service. Working as part of a team I was able to use excellent communication and organisational skills to provide on the spot advice, support and resolution for patients and their carers who had raised concerns about their care. I was able to use a sympathetic and/or empathetic approach when dealing with highly emotionally charged situations, and a variety of patients and complainants, some of whom posed challenging behaviour, had been bereaved, or were in traumatic situations. My role required me to sensitively manage complaints, noting all key details accurately whilst maintaining confidential record keeping, and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary team responses. Through working in an autonomous, motivated and highly organised manner, and employing a keen understanding of the workings of the NHS alongside excellent interpersonal skills, I was able to support patients and complainants through the complaints process. I was ultimately able to relay responses to their concerns in a sensitive and appropriate way, and ensure that the patient’s experience then informed the care and services provided by the Trust.
