In this position, I developed, implemented, and maintained a Reconciliation Action Plan for two years. I consistently and effectively communicated with various stakeholder community members to meet the educational needs of Indigenous patients. During my time with this employer, I administered social media accounts and had high rates of social engagement. This led to a developed and maintained relationship between the school, the Local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG), and John Hunter Hospital School communities.I identified and developed various appropriate cultural resources and cultural competency training exercises for all staff and supported the technological needs of the school as IT Coordinator for 8 months. In this position, I supported Individualised Education Plans for students with challenging learning and behavioural needs and worked collaboratively with classroom teachers to enhance the learning environment. I implemented targeted learning programs, such as MiniLit and Macqlit literacy intervention programs for Indigenous students and communicated with community stakeholders to enhance the relationship between the school and its Indigenous community.
