At Planet Fitness, I had been given the responsibility of overseeing the entire training program. This involved several short 30-minute exercise classes and one on one programs. The one on one programs required me to meet with clients and assess their current fitness ability with their goals and any medical issues to create an exercise plan that accomplished their goals while also keeping their fitness level in mind and allowing room for challenge and growth. The 30-minute exercise classes involved the creation of a workout that targeted a specific muscle group that challenged participants while also providing a safe and effective workout for all fitness levels. Each day had new or returning participants that expected a great workout. I taught these classes with a variety of methods including weight training, timed exercises, super setting, Pilates, yoga, and HIIT that did allow for any necessary modifications. The reason I was at this position for a short period of time was that my class schedule for the summer and fall semesters conflicted with the training schedule. However, their trainer had left with no explanation and they asked if I could fill in until summer classes started so that they could find a permanent trainer. Show less

I perform multiple tasks here on the register, handling custard, and during closing duties. While on the register, i take orders, explain the menu in an understandable manner, handle payments, and assist customers in any other way necessary. While handling custard, I must fill orders in a timely manner very accurately and to the customers' specifications. At closing I help with cleaning the food preparation area, customer area, pack remaining custard into pints and quarts, and wash dishes. I teach Athletic Conditioning classes once a week and I have also filled in for others by teaching their classes. I use a wide variety of strength training exercises that use both weights or just body weight, plyometric exercises or cardio, and intensive core work. On select Friday nights and holidays, I would watch children aged anywhere from 1-9 or 10 for a few hours. Depending on the age group being watched, the required duties were playing with them, facilitating crafts or games, teaching bible lessons, distributing snacks, and diaper changes or helping those that were being potty trained. On the register, I rang up customers' items, offered the rewards program, and handled payments in a timely manner. At the fitting rooms, I assisted customers with the items they did not want, finding other sizes or styles, sorted clothes to be returned to the racks, and assisted with returning all clothes to the respective locations. I was responsible for keeping the sections surrounding my location in the store clean during shopping hours and making sure that the clothes were in the correct place at closing time. Show less

I escorted patrons to their tables and closed their dining tickets when they left. It was a quick paced, rapidly changing environment that required me to make changes at any given time and work at the pace needed of me.
