    • Project Manager
      • Apr 2019 - Present

Project management allows me to take on more responsibilities within the organisation; aligning sessions with the project and organisational goals, managing staff and keeping projects on schedule and on budget. The primary project I have been leading on is The Girl Code Project, funded by The Community Fund and Tampon Tax it focuses on increasing the opportunities for 12-16 year girls from socially disadvantaged rural areas to get into technology and computer science related fields. Weekly sessions are held for the two groups of girls, one group based in Maghera and the other Ballymena, providing a taster into different areas of computer science for example coding.

    • Youth Mentor
      • Sep 2018 - Mar 2019

The Exodus 500 Project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund Northern Ireland aims to increase employability and training skills within NEET 16-24 year olds through referrals from the Youth Justice Agency and homeless facilities such as MACs and The Simon Community. The role of the youth mentor is that of one to one support and guidance for the young person, creating a pathway plan individual to their employability needs alongside mental health support as ill mental health is common within this vulnerable group.
