FLUX Mentor - FLUX Nationals 2015
-
Feb 2015 - Mar 2015
Every year I deliver the FLUX business competition - enabling students to take part in a fast paced business simulation game where they develop a business to a challenge set by a local employer. In 2015 I was a mentor for the Plymouth University Champions and accompanied the team of 6 to the FLUX Nationals, where they won! Along with 2 colleagues, I provided support and training prior to the competition and acted as a mentor during the competition, supporting the students and enabling them to deliver their best. https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/news/students-reign-supreme-at-national-flux-contest Show less

I delivered a mentoring programme for students with disabilities, linking them with a local employer to help students gain confidence and explore career options. This involved marketing the programme to students, sourcing employers, delivering training for students and mentors, monitoring the mentoring process across the programme, dealing with any issues or questions and delivering a celebration event to close the programme and help students and mentors reflect on their journey.
