The Joint Advisory Committee for Entertainment (JACE) is chaired by the HSE, and its membership is drawn mainly from industry trade bodies, trades unions, large event facilities and the major national broadcasting organisations. It has a broad membership and acts as a conduit for consultation between HSE, Government, the EU and the industry.JACE acts as a forum to consider problems in the industry, regarding existing or proposed health and safety legislation, and acts as a route for raising industry concerns with Government, enforcing authorities, manufacturers and suppliers. It identifies priorities for action and promotes and improves health & safety and welfare standards within the industry.

ESSA is a trade body representing the very best suppliers of goods and services to the events industry.My personal contribution included membership of the AEO / AEV / ESSA Cross-Association Working Groups on Sustainability and Health & Safety (Chair, 2014 – 2016). I also presented to the All Party Parliamentary Group on European Reform on How to make the EU's single market work for the creative services industries in July 2013. Freeman is one of the most influential exhibitions and events companies in the UK, offering a full range of face-to-face marketing solutions, and specialising in delivering innovative, creative and cost effective services to both exhibition organisers and their exhibitors.My role was to lead the newly formed Project Management team to deliver high quality custom design & build execution across EMEA region, introducing project quality audit systems and process review mechanisms to streamline delivery and improve customer satisfaction.As a member of the Senior Leadership Team for the EMEA branch, I contributed to the development of annual budgets and revenue targets for the custom build department, and had budget responsibility for specific projects, including oversight of project estimating and post-event reconciliation. I developed and maintained high level relationships (both internal and external), in particular with Freeman XP and their customers in the USA, including VISA, Box and Astra Zeneca. Whilst at Freeman, I completed the internal Leading for Results leadership training, and achieved my Postgraduate Award in Innovation Business Leadership from the University of Warwick.

I was responsible for day to day budget management (£2m+) and detailed final reconciliation.
