Capstone Project: 3D Printed Passive Exoskeleton for Forefoot Offloading
-
Aug 2021 - Dec 2021
This project designed and validated a 3D printed mechanism to reduce forefoot loading while walking by capturing energy on heel strike, and providing a load path through the heel during the toe off phase of gait. • Used beam theory/FEA to predict how different geometries will deform and modulate the pressure on the foot while walking • Investigated how variation in design of beam spring elements impact pressure distribution during walking • Modeled prototypes in CAD and 3D printed • Tested and analyzed prototypes to adjust design and FEA analysis to optimize design of mechanism • One of two teams awarded Best Interdisciplinary Project at Georgia Tech Capstone Design Expo Show less

Robotic Design Project
-
Aug 2019 - Dec 2019
• Designed and fabricated launching system with 100% successful deployment rate • Collaborated with teammates to design, construct, program and test a robot to launch and remove objects from a 20 inch diameter circle, and to deploy a dart onto a detected color panel of a spinning cylindrical body • Managed $100 budget to acquire building materials • Designed and fabricated launching system with 100% successful deployment rate • Collaborated with teammates to design, construct, program and test a robot to launch and remove objects from a 20 inch diameter circle, and to deploy a dart onto a detected color panel of a spinning cylindrical body • Managed $100 budget to acquire building materials
